CONTRACTOR AND PROJECT UNDERWRITING

Both the contractor qualifications and the individual project must be reviewed to determine if the ECI program can be utilized. Our experienced environmental professionals streamline the review process so that cleanups can begin, or continue, without delay. A two-step underwriting sequence is implemented. First, the REMEDIATION contractor is approved. ECI reviews the contractors technical qualifications, performance on prior REMEDIATION projects, the standard REMEDIATION contract, cleanup guarantee suggested language, and standard unit cost rates for labor, equipment and materials. Standard contractor underwriting factors are obtained from the REMEDIATION contractor application, such as current and past revenue and experience of the firm and key personnel.

Once the contractor is approved, each project is approved. A simple, one-page application is used for each site. We review all site environmental studies, the REMEDIATION plan, the REMEDIATION contract, the cost estimate and payment schedules.

Separate contractor and project applications need to be completed to initiate the process.
